I create photographic virtual tours from spherical panoramas, using Pano2VR or 3DVista. The viewer can look around from selected positions and move between them.
Part of a larger presentation
A tour can connect a room to a floor plan, a landscape to a map, or a place to photographs and written documentation. I plan those connections around the subject and the material, rather than treating the viewer as the whole project.
The work involved
The process includes choosing the positions, photographing the site, stitching and correcting the panoramas, and building navigation between them. Descriptions, maps and other media are added where they help explain the place.
The intended audience and devices matter. A tour for an ordinary browser and a headset presentation have different requirements; my panoramas and VR article explains the distinction.
